Charles Washington Hall received another preservation award at the West Virginia Historic Preservation Conference hosted by the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia on September 21st, 2018. The project was recognized for its use of historic tax credits and as well as it’s role in generating a growing interest in the revitalization of other historic sites in downtown Charles Town. The project included a $4 million restoration of the venerable 1874 structure and was previously recognized by the West Virginia Chapter of the AIA with its Excellence in Preservation Honor Award in 2017.
