Landmarks SGA, in association with Toole Recreation Planning, was retained by Plymouth Township to develop a Site Master Plan and Adaptive Reuse Strategy for the historic Dickinson Farmstead.
The Dickinson Farmstead includes a full suite of historic structures dating from as early as the mid-1700s, providing a significant view into the past by presenting a relatively intact example of a working farmstead, including a Farmhouse (Dickinson House), Tenant (Albertson) House, Carriage House/Wagon Shed, Stone Barn, and Smokehouse (Summer Kitchen)/Privy. Landmarks SGA is spearheading the development of a plan to adaptively and sensitively reuse the historic structures and site, including the restoration/adaptation of the Stone Barn into a Public Meeting/Community Event Space and upgrading the site with public park amenities such as a historic-based children’s play area.
